Terms & Conditions
The agreement you make with Egypt City Trip when you book.
Who you are dealing with
__LEGAL_NAME__ ("we", "us") is a tour operator licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, licence number __LICENCE_NUMBER__, with its office at __ADDRESS__. "You" means the lead traveller who makes the booking.
When the agreement starts
Your booking is confirmed when checkout finishes and you receive a booking reference starting ECT-. From that moment you and we have an agreement on these terms, under Egyptian law.
Whoever makes the booking must be 18 or older, and accepts these terms for everyone named on it.
Price and payment
Prices are set in US dollars. Any other currency you see is a conversion at the rate shown at checkout; the dollar amount is the one that counts.
Depending on the product you can pay the full amount by card when you book, pay part now where checkout offers a deposit and the rest to your guide on the day, or pay in cash on arrival.
We recalculate every price on our own servers when you buy. If that figure is not the one you were shown, we get in touch before taking any payment.
If you want to change something
Moving your date costs nothing if you ask more than 24 hours before the service, as long as the new date is available. Within 24 hours, a change counts as a cancellation and a new booking.
Fewer travellers can mean a higher price per person, since our prices are tiered by group size.
If we have to change something
Safety, weather, a site closing or an operational problem can force a change to an itinerary. If the change is significant, you choose: an alternative of the same standard, a partial refund, or your money back in full.
Balloon flights and boat trips depend on the weather, and their operators can cancel at short notice. If that happens you get a full refund or a new date, at no cost.
Cancelling
Our Cancellation Policy is part of these terms.
What we ask of you
Travel with a passport valid for at least six months and any visa you need, and be at the meeting point on time. A service missed because of a late arrival cannot be refunded.
When you book, tell us about any medical condition, mobility need or diet that affects what you have booked.
Insurance
Please take out full travel insurance; arranging it is up to you. Our own liability cover protects our operations, not your medical costs, repatriation, or a trip you cancel for personal reasons.
Our liability
We are liable for death, injury or illness caused by proven negligence of our staff or suppliers while working for us, within the limits set by the Egyptian Tourism Law and any international convention that applies.
We are not liable for anything outside our reasonable control — war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, bad weather, or the actions of third parties unconnected with your services.
Something went wrong?
Tell your guide, or ring our 24-hour line straight away — a problem is far easier to put right while you are still in Egypt. For a written complaint, email info@egyptcitytrip.com within 28 days of your trip ending.
Law and courts
Egyptian law governs these terms, and only the courts of Cairo can hear a dispute about them.
Something unclear?
Our team answers policy questions in plain language, 24 hours a day.
