The information we hold

To take a booking or answer an enquiry we need your name, email address, phone number, country of residence and nationality, and for some services your passport details and date of birth. We also hold the details you give us for the other people in your party.

While you use the site, the usual technical details are recorded: IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the site that sent you.

Your card number is never collected or stored by us. SuperPay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, handles every card payment.

What we use it for

• Delivering what you booked. Each guide, driver or hotel is given only what they need.
• Contacting you about your booking.
• Meeting Egyptian tourism rules, which require some services to record who is travelling.
• Marketing emails — only if you asked for them, and each one lets you unsubscribe with a single click.

Who else sees it

The suppliers who deliver your trip: hotels, Nile cruise operators, airlines for flights within Egypt, guides and drivers. The companies that process payments and send our email.

Nobody buys your data from us. We do not sell it.

How long we keep it

Booking records: seven years, which Egyptian tax law requires. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe. Technical logs: 90 days.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion — apart from completed booking records, which the law makes us keep for seven years. Write to info@egyptcitytrip.com; you will have an answer within 30 days.

Cookies

We set cookies for three things only: keeping you signed in, remembering your language and currency, and holding your cart between visits. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Blocking cookies does not break the site, but you will have to choose your language and currency again on each visit.
